Privacy policy

Effective October 30, 2026

Gateway Barbershop handles personal information when you use our website, book an appointment, contact us, or apply for a job. This policy explains the information involved, how it is used, and how to contact us about your privacy.

Information we collect

  • Bookings and customer service: your name, email address, phone number, selected shop, barber, service, appointment time, booking history, cancellation-policy agreement, and information you choose to provide.
  • Verification and communications: phone-verification status, message delivery information, communication preferences, and the contents of messages or inquiries you send us.
  • Website activity: pages viewed, booking interactions, referring pages, campaign or QR-code attribution, device and browser information, IP addresses, and technical logs collected through our website and service providers.
  • Applications: contact details, license information, experience, work samples, and other information you submit. Our application privacy notice provides additional details.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage appointments, maintain customer records, verify phone numbers, respond to inquiries, send requested booking links and appointment updates, review job applications, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot problems, measure website and campaign performance, and meet legal and recordkeeping obligations. If you opt in to marketing communications, we use your information to send those communications.

Service providers and sharing

Information is available to authorized Gateway staff and service providers as needed to perform their work. Providers used by our services include:

  • Square: appointment scheduling, customer profiles, and payment services where used. Booking information is sent to Square. Payment information entered into Square services is handled by Square. Read Square's privacy policy.
  • Vercel: website hosting, technical infrastructure, and storage used by website features.
  • Twilio: phone verification and supported telephone or text-message features.
  • Google: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, when enabled, to measure website use and campaign performance. Read how Google uses information from sites using its services.

If you use an automated telephone assistant, your spoken request may be transcribed and processed through Twilio and, when enabled, OpenAI to generate a response. Avoid sharing sensitive information with the assistant and ask to speak with a person if needed.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect people or our services, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. Third-party websites and services you choose to use have their own privacy practices.

We do not sell your booking contact information. We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share the information needed with providers that deliver messages on our behalf.

Cookies, browser storage, and analytics

Our website and providers may use cookies and similar technologies. The booking experience uses local storage and session storage to remember information and preferences, maintain attribution, and avoid duplicate tracking events. Google Analytics, when enabled, measures visits and booking activity.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and clear local or session storage. These choices may affect remembered preferences or website features. Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Clicking an external map, review, or booking link lets that provider receive information under its own policy.

Your choices and requests

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to ask a privacy question, email gatewaybarbershopaz@gmail.com. Tell us what you need and enough information to locate your record; do not send passwords, payment-card details, or identification documents by email. We may verify your identity before acting. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, or transaction-record purposes.

For supported text programs, reply STOP to unsubscribe. Contact us by email if replies are unavailable or you need help. Use the unsubscribe link in promotional emails to opt out of those emails. These choices do not cancel an appointment. Requests relating to a separate Square account may also need to be directed to Square.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including managing bookings, customer service, resolving disputes, security, and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Retention depends on the record and the service provider involved. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our online services are intended for adults booking for themselves or on behalf of others. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian should manage bookings for children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information directly so we can review and address it.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Contact Gateway Barbershop at gatewaybarbershopaz@gmail.com or use the shop details on our locations page. Our terms of service cover use of the website and booking services.
